It’s by far one of my favourite chocolate recipes and especially when I am craving a chocolate snack, I just bake some of these and serve them with vanilla ice cream!

You can store these Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes either in the fridge ,or even in the freezer and bake or microwave them anytime you want. In the fridge they last about 3-4 days but believe me no one keeps waiting so long. They will be lost within couple of hours especially if you love chocolate!

You can also add a piece of chocolate bar in the middle before making to have even more soft and melted interior.

Make sure to give this delicious recipe and I have no doubt that if you follow my steps you will master it and anyone will love it!

It can also be made when you have formal dinner and you want to impress your guests. You just need to drizzle some chocolate syrup on top and serve it with some vanilla ice cream and whipped cream!!!

Description

This is the absolute molten lava cake, it has a moist cakey exterior and a chocolate melted lava in the middle.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 240gr dark chocolate melted
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • whipped cream/ vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl add your whole eggs, egg yolks and sugar! Mix this with a whisk until nice and creamy.
  2. Add your melted butter, melted chocolate, salt and flour. Mix everything until incorporated.
  3. Scrape the sides of the bowl to avoid any flour bits from the bottom of the bowl.
  4. Grease using non stick spray your foil cases or ramekins. Then place some cocoa powder in each case and move it sound to cover the edges. In this way your lava cakes will not stick!
  5. Divide your batter evenly between your cases!
  6. Bake at 175°C for 8-10 minutes until the edges looked baked but the centre a bit soft! Don’t bake them more than 10 minutes because you will loose the melted interior.
  7. Leave them to cool for about 15 minutes before serving. Flip them and serve them with some whipped cream and ice cream.
