It’s super easy to make and everyone will love it. It has a strong vanilla and chocolate flavour that tastes amazing. you can decorate it on top with some icing sugar or even prepare some chocolate ganache.

It’s a light but delicious sponge that combines both vanilla and chocolate flavours without being too heavy at all. It’s refreshing and perfect for all seasons as it uses orange juice and zest which gives a more fresh hint.

It can be stored at room temperature for up to 5 days in an airtight container.

Description

It’s a light but delicious sponge that combines both vanilla and chocolate flavours without being too heavy at all.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup orange juice + orange zest
  • 3 1/2 cups all
  • purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp drinking chocolate powder

Instructions

  1. In a bowl using a whisk beat the eggs and the sugar until frothy.
  2. Add in your vanilla, baking powder, milk, vegetable oil, orange juice and zest. Mix until combined.
  3. Add the flour and mix until a thicker batter is formed.
  4. Now split the mixture in two bowls evenly and set one of them to the side. In the other bowl add in your chocolate powder and mix.
  5. Grease with non-stick cooking spray a loaf tin and place parchment paper on the bottom to prevent from sticking.
  6. Pour the mixture in the tin starting with your vanilla mixture and then the chocolate mixture. Using a knife make swirls to create a marble effect.
  7. Bake at 175°C for 45 Minutes! (until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean)
