I love topping this french toast with homemade whipped cream and some fresh strawberries. I like also to add a bit of syrup for sweetness. Make sure to try this and i am sure it will become your new favourite.

You can adjust this recipe to your likings. You can top it with different syrups like caramel, chocolate, maple syrup & anything else you want.

Also, you can add chocolate chips if you like, or any fruits like banana, kiwi, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries etc. Feel free to be creative and make it unique!

French toast is best served at the same time as it’s very simple to make. Otherwise the french toast will get spongy. You can prepare the mixture from the morning but just remix it before using to combine everything.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 ml milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

+fruits (like berries)

+maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix your eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Heat over medium heat a pan for 3 minutes and add in your butter and let it melt fully.
  3. Then dip your bread slices one by one and cook for at least 1 1/2 minutes on each side.
  4. Serve right away.
