Apple pie is best served using some vanilla ice cream or even fresh cream. It’s a dessert that will impress your family and friends that also has a great appearance.

You can also be a bit playful and adjust the top part of your pie according to your imagination. You can serve it with some vanilla ice cream or even some whipped cream.

This Apple pie recipe lasts for up to 5 days stored in the fridge or at a cold spot in room temperature.

This dessert is a bit healthier than other ones that include chocolate as it’s not so sweet and doesn’t have lots of sugar.

Description

This is a Super Easy Apple Pie recipe that uses simple ingredients that you definitely have in your pantry!

Ingredients

Apples Filling

  • 6-7 Green Apples
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup flour (all-purpose)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (you can add more if you want)
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Dough

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup cold unsalted butter (cut in cubes)
  • 5 tbsp cold water

+ 1 tbsp milk to brush the top of the pie

+ Optional: You can also sprinkle some sugar on top before baking!

Instructions

  1. Apple Filling: On a chopping board start peeling of your apples and then cut them in small squares or slices. Place them in a bog bowl .
  2. Add in the flour, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix until your apples are coated and set them aside.
  3. Dough: In a food processor mix your floor, salt and sugar until combined. Add in your cold butter cut into cubes and pulse a few times until combined. Slowly start adding in the water until a dough it’s formed. Knead your dough a little bit by hand on a lightly floured surface.
  4. Split your dough in half and start rolling out one half of the dough to make the base of your pie. Place your rolled dough in your tart tin and press it to the edges.
  5. Remove any excess dough from the sides and pour in your apples.
  6. Start rolling out the other half of the dough left and cut strips to do the top of the pie!
  7. Chill your pie for 30 minutes and then brush with 1 tbsp of milk before baking. (you can also sprinkle some sugar on top to create a caramelised effect)
  8. Bake for about 45 Minutes at 175°C.
