Description

These Chocolate Banana Muffins are super delicious and so simple to make. You only need few ingredients that you definitely have in your pantry. They are chocolatey, fruity and they are the absolute treat throughout your day.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup hot water
  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup plant milk
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp chopped dark chocolate + more for top

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mash the bananas completely.
  2. Then add in your oil, milk, vanilla extract and sugar, & mix until combined using a whisk.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together four, baking powder, baking soda, salt & cocoa.
  4. Slowly add your dry ingredients mixture into the banana mixture and whisk.
  5. Lastly, add in your hot water and mix well.
  6. Fold your chocolate chunks into the mixture using a spatula.
  7. Divide the mixture among 12 muffin cases and bake for 20 minutes at 175°C (until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean).
  8. Let them cool down completely and enjoy
