Ingredients

Apple Filling

  • 6 Green Apples (peeled and cut in cubes)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup sugar

Crumble Topping

  • ¾ cup all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (cold and cubed)

Instructions

  1. Firstly prepare your apples by peeling them and cut them into cubes. Right after you are done with cutting your apples, add some lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown.
  2. Add in your cinnamon and sugar. Mix until combined and set aside.
  3. In another bowl add in your flour, sugar and butter. either with your hands or a spatula mix the ingredients until a crumble is formed. (If you are using your hands, then rub the flour mixture with the butter against your fingers).
  4. In an 8-inches square baking tin add in your apple mixture and spread evenly.
  5. Then add on top the crumble mixture.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 175°C, until you can see that the apples have caramelised and the crumble has a nice golden colour.
  7. Serve right away with some custard or ice-cream. If you feel fancy, then add some caramel sauce to make it even more delicious.
